Roslagen's archipelago is one of Sweden's finest paddling landscapes – calm bays, open sea and thousands of islands to explore. Here are five places to put in the water.

1. Öregrund

From Öregrund harbour opens up a beautiful archipelago with skerries and rocks in all directions. The place suits both beginners who want to paddle in calm sounds and experienced paddlers seeking longer tours along the coast.

2. Gräsö – Rävsten

At Rävsten on Gräsö there is the opportunity to rent canoe and kayak and venture out into the surrounding waters. Gräsö is Uppland's largest island and has a varied coastline with sheltered bays and more open passages.
