Ånghammaren Event & Mässhall

The Ånghammar smithy, located on Österbybruk's manor grounds, was put into use in 1860 and ran until 1941 when the hammers fell silent. During the 1950s, all the industrial fittings were torn out to make way for a bus garage. The building then fell into disrepair but, through funds from the Swedish National Heritage Board, was renovated in 1992. Today Ånghammaren is used during much of the year for, among other things, art exhibitions, music events and fairs. With 780 m² of open space, it is one of the few venues in the region with the capacity to host larger public events. The venue is surrounded by a historic manor setting and is located close to Arlanda and several larger towns. For information and booking enquiries, contact the Österbybruk Manor Foundation.
