Sea Bathing in Österåker and Vaxholm

If you want salt water and rocky shores, there are several excellent options in eastern Roslagen. Breviksbadet at Trälhavet is Österåker's largest beach with both rocks and sandy shore – just six kilometres from Åkersberga. Österskärs havsbad, locally known as Solbrännan, is a classic that you can easily reach by Roslagsbanan.

In Vaxholm you'll find Eriksöbadet, a family-friendly sea beach with sandy shore, bathing jetty and diving tower during summer.

Lake Bathing in Norrtälje and Österåker

Largens Badplats is located on the northern shore of Lake Largen with sandy beach and lawns – perfect for both bathing and relaxation. Somewhat larger is Lundabadet, one of Norrtälje municipality's larger bathing areas on the northern shore of Norrtäljevik.

In central Norrtälje between two bays lies Kärleksudden Badplats with sandy beach and sloping lawn. For a popular rest stop among canoeists we recommend Garnsviksbadet in Österåker – a family-friendly bathing area with sandy beach and bathing jetty.

Want to swim regardless of the weather? Hallstavik utomhusbad in Norrtälje is a heated outdoor pool where the pools maintain approximately 27 degrees.

Bathing in Östhammar

Hargshamns friluftsbad next to Hargshamn's camping is a family-friendly sea bathing area. For pool bathing in summer (June–August), Alundabadet offers three outdoor pools with lawns and outdoor showers.
