Bo & Kajak i Öregrund

Öregrund's archipelago offers paddling waters for both beginners and the more experienced. In and around Öregrund there are small roads in a rural setting for cycling trips. Here you can borrow maps and a description for the cycling route.

Kayaks: Bo & Kajak rents out one- and two-person kayaks/canoes with equipment, from one-person kayaks to two-person kayaks with room for a child, dog or luggage. All kayaks include in the hire: paddles, spray decks, life jackets, a trolley and a map of the local area. Some VKV kayaks also include safety equipment. Bo & Kajak has no insurance covering the hirer. Check with your insurance company whether your home insurance applies to damage or loss of hired equipment. Kayaks and equipment are to be returned well cleaned.

Paddling waters: Paddling both among the inner islands and out among the skerries. Close to small islands with the possibility of overnight stays in a tent or cabin.

Paddling packages: Bo & Kajak tailors packages with paddling, accommodation and food to your wishes, and offers a combination package with paddling, cycling and camping in Öregrund. Bo & Kajak organises courses and guided tours with experienced leaders for those who want to get started with kayaking or have a tour adapted to the day's weather and wind.

Bikes: Bikes are hired at the Tourist Office in Öregrund. Visit Roslagen rents out Bo & Kajak's bikes, with pick-up and drop-off at Öregrund tourist office. The bikes are 3-speed women's bikes, Solhaga Classic. Helmets, maps and advice are included in the hire. Child seats, bike baskets, bike trailers, cool bags and high-visibility vests are available to hire. In the bike trailer you can attach 1–2 child seats and a windbreak and/or carry luggage in it.

Accommodation: Bo & Kajak rents out and arranges accommodation in and around Öregrund.

Cabin – Äppelbo: 4-bed cabin, equipped with a kitchenette, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, electric grill, toilet, shower, TV and a south-facing deck with outdoor furniture. 200 m to Sunnanöviken where there are bathing spots. The cabin is smoke- and pet-free.

Cabin – Sommarro: Number of beds: 8+2. Sommarro is close to Öregrund's harbour and centre, in one of Öregrund's older neighbourhoods with narrow streets. The house's lower floor is 55 sqm and consists of a small kitchen, a living room with 2 sofa beds, a bedroom with a double bed and a toilet with shower. The upper floor has a bedroom with 2 single beds and a furnished hall. There are 8 beds in total. A balcony with a sea view. In the yard there is a small cabin with a sofa bed for 2 people. The accommodation is not adapted for disabilities, as there are high thresholds and a steep staircase to the upper floor.

House – Gula Villan (the Yellow Villa): An equipped 2-storey villa with about 7+4 beds, 2 km from Öregrund and 200 metres from Sunnanöviken. The villa is suitable for one or two families, a family reunion or a company conference, with large spaces for shared gatherings indoors and outdoors and large grassy areas. Close to kayak, bike and rowing-boat hire as well as forest walks with the possibility of berry and mushroom picking in season. The house's lower part of 116 sqm consists of an equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer etc., a large dining room/living room, a sleeping alcove with 2 beds, toilet, shower, sauna and washing machine. A glazed east-facing entrance and a large glazed south-facing deck. The upper floor consists of 3 bedrooms (1.5+2+2 beds), a living room with a large TV, a sofa bed with 2 beds, toilet, shower and balcony.
