Mellangården

Mellangården is on the eastern part of the island of Tvärnö in Northern Roslagen, 21 km southeast of Östhammar. Mellangården is one of three working farms on the island and has beef cattle, sheep, cats and dogs, among others. The island has a permanent bridge connection.

At Mellangården there is one house for hire, Källarstugan, a fully renovated former grain store furnished in the old style. The stay is self-catering. You can drive a car or take a bus all the way there, and it's 600 metres to a sea bay with access to a boathouse, boats and a sauna. For those who want to fish, a boat is included with the cabin hire. On the farm there is a playground with swings, a playhouse, a sandpit and the possibility to play football and badminton. There is also a wood-fired sauna and a hot tub.

Fishing: The waters around Tvärnö have fishing for zander, pike, perch and trout. You can fish on your own or through guided fishing trips. In May–June, herring fishing near Hargshamn is popular.
