Camping and caravans in Roslagen's archipelago
Roslagen is one of the most popular camping destinations in Mälardalen and northwards. With the sea surrounding it, well-maintained facilities and a rich outdoor life, it's easy to understand why. Choose between seaside campings with direct beach access, forested tent sites on islands accessible only by boat, or motorhome parking areas with all amenities.
Camping sites in Norrtälje and northern Roslagen

- Norrtälje Camping – Centrally located camping in Norrtälje, close to town and sea.

Tips for camping in Roslagen
- Book in advance: Campings along the coast are fully booked during Midsummer and peak summer. Book at least 2–3 months in advance for July.
- Islands accessible by boat: Arholma and Finnhamn are reached only by boat (Cinderellabåtar or Waxholmsbolaget) – an extra experience.
- Right to roam: You can camp freely for one or two nights in most natural areas. Avoid private land or protected areas.
