Edö is an elongated island located between Södra Ljusterö and Äpplarö. Edö is approximately 2.5 km wide and 5 km long together with Edö ö, which lies just east of Edö. Edö ö has been used as a grazing island for Edö.
On Edö Island there is only one year-round resident plus a number of summer residents, including some relatives of composer Hugo Alfvén. Edö is reached by boats operated by Waxholmsbolaget or by private boat. Over time, Edö and Edö Island may grow together as a result of land uplift. Edö Jetty: there is a semaphore at the jetty that must be hoisted to signal that you want to board the boat. The jetty is not accessibility adapted, but there is a bench to sit on while waiting for the boat. Jetty position: Latitude 59.46659, Longitude 18.63283.
