Edsbro Church, from the 1200s, is clearly visible where it sits on the ridge with its festive roof ornaments. In the gateway to the churchyard, a small staircase leads up to a loft with an opening towards the churchyard. From here, important information and sermons were announced to the congregation.
Inside the church there are no windows on the northern long wall. It has always been kept that way to keep the evil, which came from the north, out of the church. In the narrow church room you can see the dramatic images that were painted on the walls as late as the 1600s. The large bell remains from the 1300s and is one of Uppland's oldest.
