The church's vaults date the building to around 1430–1460. The sacristy is from the late 1200s. It is believed that a wooden church stood on the site and that a granite sacristy was built onto it.
The church's lime paintings are from 1515-1525 and made by an unknown master. The baptismal font is a simple, undecorated limestone font from the 1250s. The church's pulpit and altarpiece are dated to 1717. The bell tower is highly situated in relation to the church and was provided with a large bell in 1770 and a small bell in 1869.
