Fåglarö

The nearest jetty on Ljusterö is Linanäs. Fåglarö has about 150 plots - the vast majority are summer residences on the island. Here, Midsummer celebrations, football school, keep-fit gymnastics, bird and flower walks are arranged – the island has a rich fauna. Two fine hiking paths are marked out on the common land on the western side in the southern part of the island. The other path is on the common land on the eastern side in the northern part, from Gistviken to Sillviken. As late as the 1950s there was active farming on Fåglarö. There is a semaphore at Fåglarö jetty. You must raise it to signal that you want to travel with the boat. Fåglarö jetty has railings and a bench to sit on while waiting for the boat. Otherwise the jetty is not accessibility-adapted.
