Färsna Gård, Norrtälje

Färsna farm is open to visitors every day all year round. There are animals, tractors, cultivations and areas for play and recreation in a farm setting with nature and walking areas nearby. The Roslagsleden trail passes Färsna farm, and there is a forest playground, lean-to shelters and barbecue areas within the outdoor recreation area. On the farm there is a rest cabin with an honesty kiosk where you can eat your own packed lunch and buy coffee, tea, chocolate and fika bread. Färsna farm is owned by Norrtälje municipality and managed by Norrtälje Naturcentrum, which runs it as an open farm with activities connected to small-scale farming and cultivation. Naturcentrum also runs outdoor educational activities with schools, preschools and after-school clubs as well as projects in the field of nature conservation. On the farm is Färsna 4H, which owns the animals and runs activities for children and young people in the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays, including club and camp activities, pony riding and activities for visitors. The animals are out in their paddocks every day between 10 and 15. The Veteran Tractor Club has old tractors and machines and organises activities on the farm, including the veteran tractors' day in August every year. The Tractor Museum is open Tuesdays 10-14 and shows on request. The café at Färsna farm is run by Systrarna Matjord, and most of the menu is plant-based and sourced from their cultivation at Stadsbruk Roslagen. Stadsbruk Roslagen is located south of the farm centre and is a cultivation project to develop local and organic food production in and near the town. The farm is home to a number of associations, including Roslagen's Nature Conservation Society and Roslagen's Ornithological Society.
