Gräsö Kanotcentral

Gräsö Kanotcentral operates out of Rävsten, from where you can reach both sheltered waters among hundreds of islands and the outer archipelago. The business is run mostly on the island of Rävsten, just southeast of Gräsö. The following are for hire here: sea kayaks (K1, K2 and K3), paddleboards/SUP, fishing kayaks (SOT), whitewater kayaks, motorboats, fishing equipment and outdoor equipment. There are also beginner courses in sea kayaking, kayak tours with an instructor, kayak orienteering, as well as soft canned food, heat packs and energy bars. Maps, nautical charts and kayak equipment are sold, and boat trips and transport are offered. Basic instruction is included when you hire a kayak or boat, and the kayak equipment is suitable for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. There are tips on route suggestions, fishing spots and camping sites.

Fishing from a fishing kayak: You can hire a sit-on-top fishing kayak equipped with an adjustable rod holder, two fixed rod holders, an anchor, a paddle holder and a watertight hatch, with storage space accessible during paddling and fishing. A life jacket, map and compass are included. There is also fishing equipment to hire, such as rods, reels, lures and landing nets, suitable for fishing for pike and perch among others.

Gräsökartan.se: Waterproof Tyvek maps of Roslagen, suitable for kayaking, long-distance ice skating and hiking. The base data comes from Lantmäteriet and the Swedish Maritime Administration. On land the Terrain Map at a scale of 1:50,000 is used, and over sea and larger lakes the Maritime Administration's database. Simplified marine information includes depth contours, shallows, underwater rocks, channels and buoys (green, red and black). The maps contain marked hiking trails, rest shelters, toilets, bathing spots and harbours. Map areas: Öregrund & Gräsö, Grisslehamn, Hallstavik, the whole Roslagen Coast. Nautical charts and boating charts: The Maritime Administration's chart sheets of, among others, Öregrund, Gräsö and Väddö as well as boating charts of the whole Roslagen coast. Rävsten is an island southeast of Gräsö. Besides the canoe centre, there are also rental cabins, camping sites, a kiosk, a wood-fired sauna and hot tub, walking paths and rock slabs.
