The little chapel near the harbour in Grisslehamn was built in the early 1900s and was consecrated by Archbishop J.A. Ekman.
Gunnar Widholm, who painted the altarpiece in the chapel, was inspired by the archipelago and its inhabitants. During a restoration, the pulpit was beautifully decorated by Harald Wiberg. Get to Grisslehamn Chapel by public transport with bus 676 from Tekniska Högskolan to Norrtälje bus station. Change to bus 637 (Singö) and get off at the Grisslehamns kapell stop.
