Kallriga nature reserve, Kallerö

In the shallow Kallrigafjärden bay with its many small inlets, large numbers of birds thrive. Along the shores animals graze on flower-rich shore meadows. Walk the 1 km long path from the car park, past the viewpoint on Länsmansberget, down to the rest area by the boathouse and on out to Harudden. You can also walk the 400 m long path from Kallerö's former nature campsite, out to the barbecue spot on the rocks at Margret's point. Use the firewood from the store, light a fire and enjoy the sea view. There is an accessible privy. Kallerö lies in and adjacent to Kallriga nature reserve, about 12 km northwest of Östhammar. Park at Kallerö's former nature campsite or at Grönsinka.
