Welcome to Kapellskär Hostel! Kapellskär is perhaps best known as the gateway to the east, with ferry services to Åland. Here, between sea and land, lies Riddersholm nature reserve too — a natural area with hay meadows and pastures.
The hostel in Kapellskär is located next to the nature reserve. The calcareous soil gives a rich flora from May to August, with wood anemones, cowslips and around ten different orchid species.
Guests stay in rooms with two, four or six beds. The hostel is open all year round, including in winter, when the area offers guided skating tours and ski tracks.
The hostel is accessible by bus, car and boat. There is the option of both boat and bike hire. Nearby there are sheltered bathing bays and walking areas in Riddersholm nature reserve with its flora and fauna. You can also take a day trip to Åland; a free day cruise is included.
