Kista, which has been counted as a village in its own right, is a farm with old roots and culturally and historically valuable buildings and surroundings. The heritage farmstead is a beautifully located farm setting with 21 buildings. You reach Kista by crossing one of Väddö's three bridges. Here the visitor is treated to a farm setting with 21 buildings.
Living environments from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and quantities of old objects; a cowshed, stable, windmill, smithy, flax-drying house, drying barn, an outbuilding row with a reed roof, a horse-driven mill, a museum, a carpentry museum and old farming implements. The heritage farmstead lies in beautiful Roslagen surroundings and there is also a burial ground from the younger Iron Age here. The visitor can walk a nature trail of about 2 km and climb Mossberget with its enchanting sea view.
Kista heritage farmstead lies about three kilometres southeast of Älmsta. It consists of 21 buildings and shows living and working environments as well as objects from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The farmstead is owned and managed by the Väddö Heritage and Antiquities Society and has since 2011 been classified as a listed building for its well-preserved farm environment by the County Administrative Board of Stockholm County.
