Loskälvagården

In 1823, Eric Ericsson from Södergården and his wife Christina Matsdotter received a deed in the district court for the homestead. The last generation to run the ancestral farm were the sisters Linnea (b. 1905) and Märta (b. 1908).

Before her death, Märsta had said that Lohärad's Local Heritage Association should inherit her, but no will was ever left. As a result, the farm passed to the Swedish Public Beneficiary Foundation (Allmänna Arvsfonden). All inventory was sold at an auction on Whit Monday 1991. The matter was forwarded to the government, which in 1994 handed over the then subdivided farm to the heritage association. Lohärad's oldest building, the Visthus storehouse from the 17th century, and the distillery are the only remaining buildings from the previously surrounded farm. The main house was built in 1846.
