LW - skärgårdsbruk

LW – skärgårdsbruk is an archipelago farm with sheep and cattle that graze the islands of the archipelago and keep the landscape open. The business is located on Ormön, an island between Singö and Gräsö in Uppsala County. The animals graze around ten islands. Grazing animals are hired out in summer. Products from the animals are sold, for example beef, lamb and mutton, eggs, wool and lambskins.

Planned activities (all year round):
• Guided nature and cultural walks on different islands with a local islander.
• Owl listening one evening in April/May, with a boat trip and fika at dusk.
• Orchid walks in June, with a guided nature walk on Ormön, a boat trip, lunch and fika.
• Island walk, a nature and cultural walk on Ormön with a boat trip, lunch and fika.
• Island walks on different islands in the outer archipelago with a local guide, with a boat trip, lunch and fika, as well as the chance to take photos, birdwatch and swim.
• Island walk with a dog, an exercise walk on Ormön with lunch and fika.
• Island-to-island walk with a possible overnight stay, on islands between Singö and Gräsö, including Vässarön, Garpen, Ormön, Sladdarön and Rävsten.
• Archipelago farmer for a day, taking part in the work on the farm, with lunch and fika.
• Haymaking day on Ormön in July, with scything, raking and hay-stacking, a boat trip, lunch and fika.
• Sheep shearing in August/September.
• Winter archipelago in good ice, with a snowmobile/quad bike, skis or skates and sausage grilling.
• Winter archipelago in open water, with a boat trip, a walk, sausage grilling and lunch and fika over an open fire.
