Malsta Church was built in the Middle Ages and is the oldest church in the Norrtälje-Malsta parish. The church is one of the smallest in Uppland and was probably built on the same spot where an old wooden church previously stood.
The white-rendered church was built of granite stone towards the end of the 1200s. The sacristy is probably the oldest part and dates from the time when the wooden church still existed. The baptismal font, made of sandstone, is from the 1200s and the great bell from the 1300s. Most of the church's furnishings were donated by the lord of Degarö farm, county governor Brehmer, in the 1700s. The church has seating for about 80 people.
