The temple dates from 1996. It was built at the home of Britt-Louise and Martin Lönnebo out by Oxten. In 2005 it was donated to the parish and moved the following year to its present location.
The temple dates from 1996 and was built by the family Britt-Louise and Martin Lönnebo out by Oxsten on Gräsö. In 2005 it was donated to Gräsö parish and moved the following year to its current location. Neighbour Doris Asplund from Gräsö participated in the decoration and painted, among other things, black grouse, ptarmigan, great black-backed gull, meadow pipit, small creatures, white-tailed eagle, owl and swallows. The temple is inspired by the paradise of the Bible. When the door is closed, the temple transforms into a peep box. A pilgrimage route between the temple and Uppsala Cathedral is being planned, based on the model of the Frälsarkretsen.
