Norbergs Nostalgi & Nautica I Norrboda

Norbergs Nostalgi & Nautica in Norrboda sells antiques, curios and flea-market goods. The business is located on the northern part of Gräsö, the first house on the right after the Norrboda sign, about 15 minutes from the ferry and about 20 minutes from the coastal town of Öregrund.

The house was bought in 1923 by Johan Norberg at an executive auction for 355 riksdaler and was then moved from Örskär to its current location. In 1925, Johan and Signe Norberg opened one of Sweden's first ICA shops in the house (the first opened in 1917). The shop was taken over in 1959 by Folke and Snöfrid Norberg, who ran it until 1963 when it closed. In 1921, Johan and Signe bought Gräsö's first car and also acquired the island's first taxi cab and bus, a bus that took 8 people, one of whom had to sit on the engine cover.

On the property there is about 500 sqm of garage filled with antiques and curios, with a large proportion of nautica such as wheels, net floats, anchors, nets, lanterns, decoy birds and marine décor. There are also furniture, tools, household utensils, wooden crates, baskets, glass and art glass from, among others, Kosta Boda, Pukeberg, Iittala and Eda glassworks, lamps, ceramics and porcelain from, among others, Gefle, Rörstrand, Gustavsberg and Arabia, bags, brass, pewter, copper, advertising signs, tins and folk items. Swish and cash payment are accepted. Run by Stefan Norberg with his daughter Stina Norberg-Mattsson.
