Norrboda-Ugglans nature reserve

The additional area consists largely of habitat types that are already represented within the nature reserve. Old moss-rich spruce forest of lichen and herb type with scattered patches of aspen dominates together with rocky pine forest. Different parts of the area have different management histories and in places the forest is clearly affected by forestry measures, while other parts of the forest contain plenty of old trees, dead wood and species such as large aspen bracket fungus, ladder moss and lady's slipper orchid. The shoreline within the expanded area consists mainly of cliffs but there are also sections of moraine beaches which in a few places transition into land-rise forest. The expansion also includes several old fields in varying degrees of overgrowth and wetland development due to ceased management and the overgrowth of old ditches.
