In a barn from 1904, Roslagen's own distillery has been located since 2002. Founded by the couple Richard Jansson and Kristina Anerfält-Jansson, in the heart of Roslagen, ten kilometres north of Norrtälje. Here everything is arranged, from tours, tastings, parties and weddings to mini-fairs, corporate events, music evenings and murder-mystery theatre.
Norrtälje Bränneri AB is located in Lohärad Söderby. For five generations the family has farmed the estate, and after a renovation and rebuilding of the farm's red barn, the distillery was completed in 2002. The two steam-heated copper stills from Carl GmbH in Germany hold 150 litres and 450 litres respectively. Here, distillates of fruits and berries are made, such as apples, pears, rowan berries and sea buckthorn. Many of the ingredients are organic and as far as possible locally produced, several from their own cultivation. The range includes, among other things, RoslagsGin, Roslags Äppelglögg, Roslags Whisky, RoslagsPunsch and the historic Bellman punch.
