The Norrtälje Handelsstad economic association aims to bring together businesses and trading companies in Norrtälje to promote the healthy development of commerce and the shared interests of its member businesses.
Norrtälje Handelsstad is a consultative body and a link between the merchants, Norrtälje municipality, the tourism industry, culture and leisure, and the property owners. The association has partners, of which Norrtelje Tidning is one of the larger. The association arranges and collaborates on events in Norrtälje with the aim of increasing visits to the town. The association works for collaboration between members and the municipality as well as for Norrtälje as a destination. The association's goal is to create a trading town with a range of goods, services and meeting places, and to work for trade that complements each other. Norrtälje is close to Stockholm, by the water and close to the archipelago.
