Östra Tvärnö nature reserve

Tvärnö lies southeast of Östhammar, on the eastern side of Östhammarsfjärden. Here you can go exploring in an old-fashioned farming landscape with an exciting history. The Östra Tvärnö nature reserve consists of two parts on either side of Mellangården. From the car park you can follow the path out to Näsudden, 1.8 km. There you'll find a beautifully situated rest area with a fireplace and a view over the sea. Östra Tvärnö is surrounded by a sheltering archipelago, but it is not far out to the open sea. If you want to enjoy a picnic on a blanket in the green grass, there are beautiful pastures at Mellangården. Just keep in mind that there are often cows in the pasture during the green season. Parking with room for about 4 cars is on the right side just after Mellangården. There is no toilet in the area.
