When the snow arrives, Östhammar Municipality offers a number of excellent sledding hills for children and families. The municipality has designated several hills with lighting, making it possible to go sledding during winter evenings as well.
- Getabacken in Östhammar – Centrally located at the turning area on Sommarvägen. Has lighting and a grill area.
- Hammarbacken in Gimo – Located behind Hammarskolan and is lit.
- Stupet in Alunda – Next to Alunda open-air bath, with lighting and grill facilities.
- Österbybruk – Sledding hill by Sågdammen.
