Roslags-Kulla Church was consecrated in 1706 after an older church on the same site had been demolished. Construction had begun at the initiative of the lord of Östanå castle, Count Fabian Wrede.
It is said that the timber for the church came from Finland, which is not impossible, since the forges at Wira ironworks consumed a great deal of timber and Fabian Wrede owned farms in Finland. The church is cruciform and has an onion dome. The church's exterior panelling was added in 1728 and the bell tower was built in the 1750s. Roslags-Kulla church represents rural late Baroque and is unique in Sweden through its unchanged condition. Roslags-Kulla church has no fewer than eight royal portraits. In addition, there are many paintings from the early 1600s. The church has a close connection with Wira ironworks.
