RoslagsAmbassadörerna
Since 2005, the Roslagen Ambassadors have brought together people with a shared passion for Roslagen's nature, culture and history. Through study visits, guided tours and events, this non-profit association aims both to deepen knowledge of the region and to strengthen hospitality towards visitors — with the goal of welcoming more people to Roslagen and protecting its identity.
About the Association
RoslagsAmbassadörerna is a non-profit association, founded in 2005, whose purpose is to spread knowledge about nature, culture, history and business in Roslagen through study visits, lectures and guided tours.
The association is aimed at anyone interested in Roslagen who wants to learn more about the history, attractions, destinations and activities in the area. The association is a member of Norrtälje Handelsstad and has approximately 110 members.
Membership
Membership requires that you complete a short self-guided education about Roslagen, which consists of four personal visits within different themes: Vallonbruk/iron works, Archipelago, Town and Countryside/cultural landscape. After that, you present your favorite spot in Roslagen at an association meeting and become a member.
Events
The association arranges various forms of events for its members, for example day trips by bus, archipelago tours by boat, city walks, company visits and lectures, all with a connection to Roslagen.
Some events each year are open to the public, including Thomas Day on Stora Torget on December 21 and Roslagen Flag Day on Stora Torget on June 21.
Membership Fee
Membership fee: 175 SEK per year
