Skiren is a lake located in Österåkers Municipality in Uppland. With an area of 0.1 square kilometers, it is a small but remarkably deep lake – as much as 16.1 meters at its deepest point – and lies at an elevation of 40 meters above sea level.
The lake is part of a drainage basin that flows towards Västra Saxarfjärden and constitutes the highest point in this area, which means that no water is supplied from above. The surrounding landscape is dominated largely by forest, which covers more than two-thirds of the drainage basin.
