STF Kastellet Bed and Breakfast

The fortress (Kastellet) in Vaxholm is located in the Stockholm archipelago. At Vaxholm fortress there are several activities. The Bed & Breakfast is in the northern part of the fortress, with renovated and spacious rooms with high vaulted ceilings, wide wooden floors, tiled stoves and the old loopholes with a view over the sea. The room is available from 14:00 on the day of arrival until 11:00 on the day of departure. Breakfast is served in the dining room, where there are also books, newspapers and board games at other times. During the summer, a large outdoor terrace opens where you can eat breakfast outdoors in a sheltered spot when the weather allows.

At Kastellet there are several activities besides the Bed & Breakfast: the archipelago's largest museum, a conference facility, family activities, ECO-Shipping, as well as several artists who exhibit and have shops on the island. In summer there is also a bistro and a café. Kastellet Bed & Breakfast is run by Lotta Blomqvist, and the business started in 2008. The whole family is involved in the business.
