Stockholm Archipelago Trail
A 270-kilometer hiking trail along 20 islands in the Stockholm archipelago — from Arholma in the north to Landsort in the south. Named by TIME Magazine as one of the world's 25 best travel destinations.
World-Class in Roslagen Archipelago
Stockholm Archipelago Trail (SAT) is a continuous 270-kilometer hiking trail that runs from Arholma in northern Roslagen down to Landsort in the south, along 20 islands in the Stockholm Archipelago. TIME Magazine named the trail one of the world's 25 best travel destinations.
Hiking and Boating Combined
All stages are accessible by boats from the public archipelago line network, making it possible to hike one section at a time and continue by ferry. A particularly appreciated part is Båtluffarleden in southern Roslagen, where the trail is combined with the opportunity to row in stationed rowing boats between the islands in Österåker's archipelago — a unique archipelago experience.
Stages and Difficulty Level
The trail is divided into shorter sections of approximately 10–14 kilometers, with moderate difficulty. Examples of stages are Arholma (13.4 km), Grinda (9.8 km) and Landsort (10.7 km). The entire trail follows the principles of allemansrätten and is marked in the field.
