Stolpaskogen nature reserve

Stolpaskogen is a mixed forest area close to the urban center of central Täby. The forest is surrounded by residential villas to the west, south and east. To the north, the forest is part of one of Stockholm's green wedges, Angarnkilen, and contributes to the green corridor that extends all the way into Stockholm city center. The forest is also part of a southwest–northeast corridor with larger coherent forest areas that contain valuable habitats for many plants and animals and ecological dispersal connections for species associated with older coniferous forest environments.

Its central location makes Stolpaskogen a very popular recreation area used by many groups for different types of recreation. Several jogging trails and paths cut through the forest, and there are also facilities such as wind shelters, benches and fire pits.

Stolpaskogen has high nature values which are largely due to the fact that it has been relatively undisturbed from disturbances such as logging. The forest consists largely of mixed coniferous forest, but the area is varied with elements of rocky pine forest, swamp forest and open meadows.
