Svartkärrets nature reserve

Svartkärret consists of a coniferous forest area with a notable presence of deciduous trees and deciduous-rich sections. The forest is generally multi-layered and is between 70 and 140 years old with scattered late-grown spruces. Aspen grows in block-rich areas. The reserve is located in a larger forest-dominated landscape with wetlands and lakes. The forest land in the reserve is in places very blocky and difficult to access and has avoided the far-reaching impact of large-scale modern forestry in recent times.
