Ullnasjön

Ullnasjön is a clay plain lake that extends across parts of Täby, Österåkers and Vallentuna municipalities in Stockholm County. The lake lies eleven meters above sea level, covers an area of just under three square kilometers and reaches a depth of 4.5 meters.

Water from Ullnasjön flows out into the Baltic Sea via Ullnaån, which empties into Stora Värtan. The drainage basin is dominated largely by forest and is characterized by a high proportion of water surfaces.

Rich wildlife

The lake is home to a varied fish population – test fishing has found species such as perch, bream, pike-perch, roach and tench. In addition, the lake is known for its rich birdlife, which makes it an appreciated destination for nature enthusiasts.

On the western side of the lake there are two golf courses and an allotment garden area, making Ullnasjön a natural meeting place for both outdoor activities and recreation.
