Discover Rådmansö
Rådmansö is a peninsula just under a mile east of Norrtälje with magnificent coastal landscape, nature reserves and Kapellskär harbour on the shores of the Åland Sea.
Svealand's Easternmost Headland
Rådmansö extends into the Baltic Sea and is described as Svealand's easternmost headland. The peninsula is located approximately 10 km east of Norrtälje and is easily reached via E18, which ends its stretch in Sweden at Kapellskär on the peninsula's outermost tip. Kapellskär is also one of the region's most important ferry harbours with traffic to Åland, Finland and Estonia.
Nature and Outdoor Life
On the southeastern part of Rådmansö lies Riddersholm Nature Reserve with winding forest trails and bathing spots right on the coast of the Åland Sea. The reserve covers 650 hectares and is easily accessible for hikers, swimmers and birdwatchers. Gräddö, a charming harbour village on the western side of the peninsula, offers kayak and outdoor equipment rental for those wanting to explore the archipelago by water.
