Vildmarks-guiden

The operation is located in northern Roslagen around Gräsö and the Kolarmoraån canoe trail. The focus is to give people access to nature close by in a safe and secure way. The work is conducted in small groups for a more personal approach.

What's included in the tours

The concept is based on learning by doing. On the longer tours, activities include making a fire, building a camp and cooking meals over an open fire. The aim is for participants to feel more confident in the wilderness and develop a deeper relationship with nature.

Offers

The operation offers several different wilderness experiences, training courses and lectures. The guiding is led by a certified nature and wilderness guide.

Together we find a way to a deeper experience and knowledge. The journey is the destination and it is the fine conversations around the fire, mirror-smooth evening waters and the nature experience that are prioritized.

How to get here

Canoe adventure When we paddle canoe we depart from the parking lot at Måviksbadet by Lake Vällen at 13:00. And we return to the same place 2 days later at approximately 12:00. Bus: If you want to travel by public transport, that's fine. There is a bus from Uppsala (805), and you get off at the Holmsberg stop (the stop before Vällen bridge). Unfortunately, the buses run quite infrequently. Kayak adventure When we paddle kayak we depart from the parking lot at Äspskär jetty, which is located at the southernmost point of Gräsö at 13:00. And we return to the same place 2 days later at approximately 12:00. Bus: If you want to travel by public transport, that's fine. There is a bus from Uppsala (811), and you get off at the Öregrund stop. Then you take the Gräsö ferry to Gräsö. From there, bus 853 goes to Äspskär jetty.
