Yxlan

Köpmanholm is best known as a pilot, customs and telegraph community. The little red cottages were populated by town officials, while the large, lavish villas with glass verandas belonged to the wholesalers. Just north of Köpmanholm on the hill there is a Troy town - a labyrinth that is said to bring fishing luck and that is found in several places in the archipelago. On the northeastern side there is a bathing spot from which you look out towards the open sea over Gräsköfjärden. Köpmanholm is visited every year by many boat tourists, and Yxlan is popular not least for the beautiful villages of Kolsvik, Alsvik, Yxlö, Alsvassen and Vagnsunda. Just over 300 people live on Yxlan all year round. There are also many holiday homes here, and in summer the population increases considerably. The school is in Köpmanholm, and in Yxlö the village hall is available for hire. You get to Yxlan by car ferry from Furusund with SL bus, archipelago boat or your own boat.
